Home My WebLink AboutRESOLUTION NO. 2013-03RESOLUTION NO. 2013-03 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE FINAL PLAT FOR J. STALLMAN ESTATES TO LINN COUNTY, IOWA WHEREAS, a Final Plat of J. Stallman Estates to Linn County, Iowa, containing three (3) lots, numbered 1, 2 and lettered Lot A, has been filed with the City of Fairfax; and WHEREAS, this Final Plat is not required to be presented to the Fairfax Planning and Zoning Commission as it is similar to a basic plat of survey outside of the city limits; and WHEREAS, City Engineer Shane Wicks, has reviewed this Final Plat of J. Stallman Estates to Linn County, Iowa and has submitted his letter of review dated January 29, 2013, which recommends approval of this Final Plat. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Final Plat and dedication of said J. Stallman Estates to Linn County, Iowa, is hereby acknowledged and approved on the part of the City of Fairfax, Iowa. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and the City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution. Stallman Estates to Linn County, Iowa Mayor Rabe and Members of the Fairfax City Council, I have reviewed the final plat and site plan for J. Stallman Estates subdivisions in Linn County, which has a Linn County zoning of USR (Urban Service Residential District). Because this plat is immediately adjacent to the corporate limits for the City of Fairfax, and because these lots are slightly less than 1 acre in size, I have requested that Brain Engineering, Inc. include the City of Fairfax on all correspondence and permitting regarding the review and approval process for the septic system on these lots. I am sending you another email concerning the conversation. Will yo consider it a written approval? Has the Linn County Health Dept. approved of this layout, and if so, can you please send the City (and copy me) some form of written approval from them.
