RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO.2 FROM
EASTERN IOWA BUILDING, INC. FOR THE FAIRFAX 2012 NEW
MAINTENANCE BUILDING PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa has contracted with Eastern Iowa
Building, Inc. for the Fairfax 2012 New Maintenance Building Project, within the
corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance department personnel and the city council have
reviewed the quote for the changes and are recommending these additions. The current
contract amount is $77,104.00. This Change Order No. 2 is making the following listed
changes in the contract for an increase of $2,919.00. The final revised contract amount is
now $80,023.00.
• Additional cost to bond the entire project: $1,430.00
• Additional labor on holes for digging through asphalt and rock and rental
of jackhammer: $1,189.00
• Floor drain, installed: $300.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, to approve Change Order No. 2 from Eastern Iowa Building, Inc. for the
Fairfax 2012 New Maintenance Building Project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said resolution.
