Home My WebLink AboutRESOLUTION NO. 2013-17RESOLUTION NO. 2013-17 RESOLUTION SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING WRITTEN AND ORAL COMMENTS ON A VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION REQUEST WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has received an Application for Voluntary Annexation to the City of Fairfax, Iowa from Jacqueline Stallman for Lot 2, Auditor's Plat No. 369, Linn County, Iowa; and WHEREAS, Iowa Code requires a public hearing concerning annexation of this property; and WHEREAS, interested residents or taxpayers having comments for or against the proposed voluntary annexation may appear and be heard at the public hearing at the city council meeting on May 14, 2013, at 7:00 PM at the Fairfax City Hall, at 525 Vanderbilt Street, Fairfax, Iowa. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that this confirms that the city council order the publication of a notice of public hearing pertaining to a voluntary annexation request from Jacqueline Stallman. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said resolution.
