A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF A 2013 AEV AMBULANCE
WHEREAS, the Fairfax Fire and Rescue Department has requested that the City
Council approve the purchase of a 2013 AEV Ambulance from Alexis Fire Equipment
Company, for the amount of $141,000.00, per specifications contained in their proposal
dated April 3, 2013; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the funds available for this purchase
and authorize the following funds be used for this purchase in the 2014 fiscal year:
• $75,000 from the Fire Department's Equipment Savings
• Up to $75,000 of General Fund money that the Fire Department
will repay as quickly as possible to the general fund
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa does hereby authorize the purchase of a 2013 AEV Ambulance from Alexis
Fire Equipment Company, for the amount of $141,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that the Mayor and the City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby directed to sign any
necessary documents to place the order for this vehicle and certify this resolution of
approval.
