RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO A SECURITY PATROL AGREEMENT
WITH PER MAR SECURITY
WHEREAS, Per Mar Security provides security services,;and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax wishes to provide extra security patrols in Fairfax in
addition to the coverage by the Linn County Sheriffs Department,, and
W11ERE AS, the City of Fairfax and Per Mar, tried a 90 day agreement during July,
August, and September of 2013; and
WHEREAS, during this initial 90 days trial, the City of Fairfax and Per Mar have
discussed and are comfortable with the current handling of the hours and days of coverage,
involvement of the mobile patrol officer, insurance, areas of coverage, reporting, and billing,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Fairfax City Council does hereby
approve and enter into an agreement to contract with Per Mar security for the following services:
A Mobile Patrol Officer for 8 hours per day for a total of 40 hours per week at $25.01 per
regular hours and $37.52 for overtime/holiday hours, beginning October 1, 2013 through March
31, 2014, and
A vehicle for said patrol officer for 40 hours per week at $501.33 per month with fuel
direct billed, and
Using the current system of rotating schedules, insurance, areas of coverage, reporting,
and billing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
