RESOLUTION DIRECTING LINN COUNTY RURAL ELECTRIC
COOPERATIVE TO PROCEED WITH INSTALLATION OF STREETLIGHTS
ALONG EAST CEMETERY ROAD IN CONNECTION WITH THE PHASE 2
EAST CEMETERY ROAD STREET RECONSTRUCTION, TRAIL AND
DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT IN FAIRFAX, LINN COUNTY,
IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax, Iowa (hereinafter referred to as the CITY) has
the Phase 2 East Cemetery Road Street Reconstruction, Trail, and Drainage
Improvements project awarded and under construction, and
WHEREAS, the City has a desire to include street lighting along East Cemetery
Road from Highway 151 to Driftwood Lane in connection with said project, and
WHEREAS, Linn County Rural Electric Cooperative has provided a cost
estimate and design to install thirteen(13) street lights at an estimated cost of$10,500, and
WHEREAS, Hall & Hall Engineers has reviewed the cost estimate and design
and is acceptable to the street light installation along said street proposed by Linn County
Rural Electric Cooperative.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa,that Linn County Rural Electric Cooperative shall proceed with installation
of up to thirteen(13) street lights along East Cemetery Road from Highway 151 to
Driftwood Lane, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said resolution.
