RESOLUTION SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING WRITTEN AND
ORAL COMMENTS ON A REZONING REQUEST
WHEREAS, property owners Cole and Mindy Young along with Sandra Hurt a
person with an accepted offer for the property, are requesting a zoning change from 9RS:
Single Farrifly Residential District to 3RM: Multiple-Family Residential at 620 Church
Street, in,Fairfax, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, Iowa Code requires a public hearing concerning rezoning of this
property; and
WHEREAS, interested residents or taxpayers having comments for or against the
proposed rezoning may appear and be heard at the public hearing at the city council
meeting on January 13, 2015, at 7:00 PM at the Fairfax City Hall, at 525 Vanderbilt
Street, Fairfax, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa., that this confirms that the city council order the publication of a notice of
public hearing pertaining to this rezoning request onbehalf of the City of Fairfax.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said resolution.
