RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE
PURCHASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND WILLIAM G
AND JEANNE T. GIBNEY TRUST, ESTABLISHED MARCH 20, 2000 FOR
VACANT GROUND LOCATED WESTERLY OF CITY PARK, FAIRFAX, '
IOWA
WHEREAS, City staff has negotiated,a Commercial Real Estate Purchase Agreement(the
"Agreeinen(') with William.G. and Jeanne T. Gibney Trust,established March 20, 2000 for
certain vacant land located westerly of City Park, Fairfax, Iowa(Tax Identification Numbers
20161-07018-00000 and 20161-07020-00000) for $25,000.000 contingent on Council approval;
and
WHEREAS,the City of Fairfax intends on using the property for public purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Fairfax City Council believes this Purchase Agreement should be
approved.
NOW, THEIMFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX, 'IOWA, THAT:
I The Purchase Agreement is approved.
2. The Mayor is authorized to execute all documents necessary to acquire said property in
accordance with the Purchase Agreement.
