A RESOLUTION TO USE LINN COUNTY PLANNING AND
DEVELOPMENT'S STAFFING FOR BUILDING PERMIT
ISSUANCE AND ALL INSPECTIONS AT 620 CHURCH STREET
WHEREAS, the Fairfax City Council, Linn County, Iowa, has entered into a 28E
Agreement with Linn County Planning and Development for building department
services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax uses their permitting and inspection processes
when it feels the project warrants their assistance; and
WHEREAS, the owners of 620 Church Street have plans to remodel an old
school into a multi-family residential structure and the City of Fairfax wishes to request
assistance with this project at 620 Church Street.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council, Linn
County, Iowa, that when application is made for a building permit for the project at 620
Church Street, the applicant shall obtain any required permits from both the City of
Fairfax and Linn County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City
Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that all inspections will be conducted with the City
of Fairfax staff and Linn County staff
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City
Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute this resolution of approval.
