RESOLUTION SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING WRITTEN AND
ORAL COMMENTS ON A REZONING REQUEST
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has requested a zoning change from AG:
Agricultural to 44RS: Single Family Residential for property described as:
Lot 2, Arp's Meadows First Addition in the City of Fairfax, Linn County, Iowa.,; and
WHEREAS, Iowa Code requires a public hearing concerning rezoning of this
property; and
WHEREAS, interested residents or taxpayers having comments for or against the
proposed rezoning may appear and be heard at the public hearing at the city council
meeting on July 14, 2015, at 7:00 PM at the Fairfax City Hall, at 525 Vanderbilt Street,
Fairfax, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that this confirms that the city council order the publication of a notice of
public hearing pertaining to this rezoning request on behalf of the City of Fairfax.
BE IT FURTIIER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said resolution.
