BULKY WASTE PICK-UP BY JOHNSON COUNTY REFUSE
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax and Johnson County Refuse have entered into a
Waste and Recycling Collection Agreement on May 12, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Section ll. Scope of Work, Paragraph. D. of the Waste and
Recycling Collection Agreement reads as follows:
Bulky waste shall be picked up, at the curb, by Johnson County Refuse, Inc. by
arrangement between Johnson County Refuse, Inc. and the individual property owner.
Johnson County Refuse, Inc. shall present for the City of Fairfax's approval a reasonable
schedule of tags required to remove those items considered bulky waste. Johnson County
Refuse, Inc. shall determine, according to the schedule, the number of tags to be required
for removal of any and all bulky items. Johnson County will send an invoice and listing
of the monthly activity in the City of Fairfax on a monthly basis for the curbside
collection of bulky waste according to the schedule. The City of Fairfax shall forward
payment to Johnson County Refuse for the amount invoiced; and
WHEREAS, Johnson County Refuse has presented the attached reasonable
schedule of tags required to remove those items considered bulky waste.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa that the attached schedule of tags required to remove those items considered
bulky waste which was submitted by Johnson County Refuse is hereby approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa,that the approved schedule as be in effective as of July 1, 2015.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the City Clerk/Treasurer are
hereby authorized and directed to execute said resolution.
