RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FORM OF CONTRACT, AND ESTIMATED COST AND SETTING THE DATE AND
TIME TORECEIVE BIDS FOR PHASE 4 WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT AND
VANDERBILT STREET PAVING RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax wishes to complete the water main replacements and
make street improvements on Vanderbilt Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has instructed Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc. to proceed
with the plans for the Phase 4 Water Main Replacement and Vanderbilt Street Paving
Reconstruction Project; and

WHEREAS, (lie City of Fairfax is required to have a public heating on the plans and
specifications, form of contract, and opinion of estimated cost of the Phase 4 Water Main
Replacement and Vanderbilt Street Paving Reconstruction Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the public hearing for the plans and
specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost for the Phase 4 Water Main Replacement and
Vanderbilt Street Paving Reconstruction Project shall be held at the city council meeting on
Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at 6:00 PM at the Fairfax City Hall at 525 Vanderbilt Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
bids shall be received on Thursday, August 20, 2015, at 10:00 AM in the office of the City Clerk
for the Phase 4 Water Main Replacement and Vanderbilt Street Paving Reconstruction Project;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Resolution.
