RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE PUBLIC IMPRO'VEA ENTS TO
PRAIRIE CREEK ESTATES SEVENTH ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF FAIRE^ LINN COUNTY, IOWA
WHEREAS, a Plan of Improvements dated April 9, 2015, from Legacy land
Investments, LLC and Ghassan El-Farhan Halloush, PE., with Alltrans, Inc., for paving,
erosion control, water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer improvements in Prairie Creek
Estates Seventh Addition to the City of Fairfax, Linn County, Iowa was previously
approved; and
WHEREAS, these public improvements have now been completed; and
WHEREAS, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc. has performed part-time field
observations during the installation of these public improvements, reviewed the material
test reports, and has completed a final site inspection of the public facilities; and
WHEREAS, the developer has submitted as-built plarr of improvements and as-
built cross sections of the north-south drainage swale as well as 4-year maintenance bonds
to the City for the public street paving, the sanitary sewer system, and the water main
system; and
WHEREAS, city staff has indicated that the north-south drainage swale has been
seeded.,temporary matting along with filter socks have been installed along this swale, and
that the site has been seeded to stabilize the site; and
WHEREAS, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc., is recoinmending acceptance of the
public improvements in Prairie Creek Estates Seventh Addition to the City of Fairfax,Linn
County, Iowa .
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that the public improvements in Prairie Creek Estates Seventh Addition to
the City of Fairfax, Linn County, Iowa, are hereby accepted.
BE IT F(JIZTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa, that the
Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
