A RESOLUTION SETTING SPECIFICS ABOUT THE
FAIRFAX CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
WHEREAS, the Fairfax City Council must meet regularly to handle the business for the
City of Fairfax; and
WHEREAS, the Fairfax Code of Ordinances states that the time and place of the regular
meetings of the Council shall be fixed by resolution of the Council.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Fairfax City Council that all regular and
special City Council meetings shall begin at 6:00 PM and be held at 525 Vanderbilt Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Fairfax City Council that with unusual
circumstances, the City Council and Mayor may agree to begin a meeting at a different time or at
a different location.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Fairfax City Council that staff is directed to ensure
public notification of any Fairfax City Council meeting is made according to the Code of Iowa.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa,
that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
resolution.
