Home My WebLink AboutRESOLUTION NO. 2016-23 RESOLUTION 2016-23 A RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT FOR CULVERT. REPLACMENET WITH LINN COUNTY AND PETERSON CONTRACTORS, INC. WHEREAS,the City of Fairfax has a culvert located at 76th Avenue and Williams Blvd. that needs to be replaced; and WHEREAS,the City of Fairfax authorized Linn County to write the specifications for this Culvert Replacement Project and to include this work with their regular bid letting procedure in March, 2016. WHEREAS, Linn County has received a bid of $88,353.75 from Peterson Contractors, Inc. of Reinbeck, Iowa; and WHEREAS, Linn County has provided the City of Fairfax with the Final Plans and a Contract for the Culvert Replacement Project. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council, Linn County, Iowa, that the City of Fairfax does hereby accept the bid of$88,353.75 for the Culvert Replacement Project and enters into the Contract with Linn County and Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the Contract and this resolution of approval.
