RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING FOR PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, AND ESTIMATED COST
AND SETTING THE DATE AND TIME TO RECEIVE BIDS FOR 2016 80'
STREET WATER MAIN EXTENSION PROJECT
WHEREAS,the City of Fairfax wishes to extend a water main to the north; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has instructed Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc. to proceed
with the plans for the 2016 80th Street Water Main Extension Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax is required to have a public hearing on the plans and
specifications, form of contract, and opinion of estimated cost of the 2016 80th Street Water Main
Extension Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the public hearing for the plans and
specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost for the 2016 80th Street Water Main Extension
Project shall be held at the city council meeting on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at 6:00 PM at the
Fairfax City Hall at 525 Vanderbilt Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
bids shall be received on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at 10:00 AM in the office of the City Clerk for
the 2016 80th Street Water Main Extension Project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
