RESOLUTION APPROVING WAGES FOR CITY EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, during the June 14, 2016, city council meeting, the City Council reviewed employee
evaluations, current wage rates, and established wages effective July 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016, and
WHEREAS, the Library Board of Trustees established wages for the 16-17 Fiscal Year for the library
employees during their meeting on June 7, 2016, and made the changes effective as of July 1, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the City Council plans to review total employee wage and benefit packages at the end of'
2016 and to establish the practice to make wage and benefit package adjustments based on the calendar year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the wages were set for each employee as follows:
Lynn Miller, Public Works Supervisor $24.95 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
Dave Yanecek, Public Works II-Building $23.95 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
Kevin Stensland, $34.68 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
Public Works II-Certified Water and Waste Water
Brian Merta, Public Works II $21.40 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
Cynthia Stimson, City Clerk/Treasurer $25.60 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
Kathy Everett, Deputy City Clerk $16.52 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
Suellina Koenes, Office Assistant $14.79 per hour, effective July 11, 2016
William Barry, Part-time Seasonal $12.86 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
Michael Rammelsberg, Part-time Seasonal$12.86 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
Brian Kindl, Part-time Janitor $12.86 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
Cathy Bayne, Library Director $21.53 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
Beth Wilz, Librarian Assistant $15.38 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
Joel Barnhart, Librarian Assistant $13.84 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
R. Cheryl Koonts, Librarian Assistant $12.30 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
Shannon Chapman, Library Janitor $12.81 per hour, effective July 1, 2016
Michael Sankot, Fire Chief $2,000 per year salary, plus $5.00 per call
Fire Department Officers $100.00 per year salary, plus $5.00 per call
Fire Department Members $5.00 per call
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city staff is hereby authorized to issue payroll checks and
make all required supporting payroll payments as required per the personnel manual or required by law.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and
City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
