HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION NO. 2016-66 RESOLUTION NO. 2016-66 RESOLUTION APPROVING REIMBURSEMENT TO WILLIAM E. BOLAND, JR. AND VERNA BOLAND FOR THE INSTALLATION OF FIELD TILE IN THE SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT WHEREAS, after the City's sanitary sewer main is installed in the area between Station 18+50 and Station 23+00, the Boland's intend to have a field the installed along the east side of this portion of the sanitary sewer easement, intercepting the two existing field tiles located east of this easement, and running the new field tile south where it will outlet into the creek; and WHEREAS, the City's Sanitary Sewer Extension Contractor shall not replace the two existing field tiles in this area where the sanitary sewer will cross these existing tile lines; and WHEREAS, the City shall coordinate with the Boland's and the Boland's tiling contractor regarding the timing and location of this field tile installation; and WHEREAS, the Boland's shall pay their tiling contractor for this work, and the City shall reimburse the Boland's for the cost of this field tile installation, up to, but not to exceed an amount of$2,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that The City reimburse William E. Boland, Jr. and Verna Boland for the cost of installing the field tile in this area, up to, but not to exceed an amount of$2,000. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and the City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution. Passed and approved this 12th day of July, 2016. Council Member Volk moved the adoption of the Resolution; seconded by Council Member Beer.
