RESOLUTION SETTING; THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING WRITTEN AND ORAL
COMMENTS ON A REZONING REQUEST
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has acquired four parcels of ground and has requested a
zoning change from C-2 Highway Commercial to CN Conservation/Public Use for all four as
described as:
Parcel A, Plat of Survey No, 2079, Part of Lot 1, James Is'-urtz's Second Addition to Fairfax, Linn
County, Iowa as recorded in Book 9590, Page 73 in the Office of the Linn County Recorder
Parcel A, Plat of Survey No. 2080,Part of Lot 1, James Kurtz's Second.Addition to Fairfax, Linn
County, Iowa as recorded in Book 9590, Page 74 in the Office of the Linn County Recorder
Parcel A, Plat of Survey No. 2081, Pail of Lot 2, James Kurtz's Second Addition to Fairfax, Linn
County, Iowa as recorded in Book 9590, Page 75 in the Office of the Linn County Recorder
Parcel A, Plat of Survey No. 2082,Part of Lot 2, .lames Kurtz's Second Addition to Fairfax, Linn
County, Iowa as recorded in Boob 9590, Page 76 in the Office of the Linn County Recorder; and
WHEREAS, Iowa Code requires a public hearing concerning rezoning of this property;
and
WHEREAS, interested residents or taxpayers having comments for or against (lie i
proposed rezoning may appear and be heard at the public hearing at the city council meeting on
November 9, 2016, at 6:00 PM at the Fairfax City Hall, at 300 80Th Street Court, Fairfax, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that this confirms that the city council order the publication of a notice of public hearing
pertaining to this rezoning request on behalf of the City of Fairfax.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax,Iowa,
that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
resolution.
