RESOLUTION APPROVING PAYMENT FOR DRIVEWAY WORK
WHEREAS,the City of Fairfax did a project in front of 223 Nickolet where a portion of
the driveway was removed and replaced; and
WHEREAS, Sharon Schwertfeger, of 223 Nickolet, contacted the City of Fairfax that
the driveway was too steep; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax viewed the area and decided that the City of Fairfax
staff would remove a portion of the drive and.allow Sharon Schwertfeger to extend the driveway
at here expense beyond that was covered by the project construction; and
WHEREAS, Joel Gross,Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc. is recommending the City of
Fairfax reimburse Sharon Schwertfeger for the concrete only in the portion of driveway that was
removed and replaced per the project,which is 16 square yards at$35.00 a square yard(which
was the bid price in the project contract) for a total of$560.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa,that the City of Fairfax reimburse Sharon Schwertfeger $560.00 for driveway concrete,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,by the City Council,of'the City of Fairfax,Iowa,that the
Mayor and the City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
