A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE
PLUMBING PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax staff is required to make several trips to a property during
the process of administering a plumbing permit to install the water meter as well as inspect water
and sewer connections to the City of Fairfax's water and sewer systems; and
WHERAS, the City of Fairfax needs to cover the majority of the costs associated with
these inspections; and
WHEREAS, these fees should be credited to the water and sewer funds, where the other
building permit fees are credited to the general fund.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa,
that effective December 14, 2016, the Plumbing Permit Fee Schedule be amended and adjusted
to reflect the following hook-up and inspection fees for all residential and commercial properties,
and these fees shall be credited to the water and sewer funds.
Commercial Property: Water $100
Sewer $100
Residential Property: Water $50
Sewer $50
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor
and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
