RESOLUTION SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
CONCERNING AMENDING PART OF THE FAIRFAX ZONING CODE 2012 FOR
THE CITY OF FAIRFAX
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has A Fairfax Zoning Code that has been approved by the
Fairfax Planning and Zoning and the Fairfax City Council; and
WHEREAS,the City of Fairfax's building department has prepared an ordinance to amend
provisions in the Fairfax Zoning Code which pertain to buffer-yards,screening requirements,trees,
accessory structures, and parking lots; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning has reviewed the proposed amendment during their
meeting on February 21, 2017, and is recommending approval; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax is required to hold a hearing when amending the Fairfax
Zoning Code 2012; and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the public hearing concerning amending
the Fairfax Zoning Code 2012 for the City of Fairfax,Iowa,shall be held at the city council meeting
on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at 6:00 PM at the Fairfax City Hall at 300 80"' Street Court.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution.
Passed and approved this 14"' day of March, 2017.

PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Fairfax will be holding a public hearing regarding amending the
Fairfax Zoning Code, during the Fairfax City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 11,
2017. Changes are being considered in reference to buffer-yards, screening
requirements, trees, accessory structures, and parking lots. The proposed
amendment may be viewed at Fairfax City Hall.
The meeting is open to the public, is to be held at Fairfax City Hall at 300 80t'
Street Court, in Fairfax, Iowa, and will begin at 6:00 PM. If you have any questions,
