RESOLUTION APPROVING PLACEMENT AND PAYMENT FOR FIVE
ADDITIONAL STREET LIGHTS FROM ALLIANT ENERGY
WHEREAS,the City of Fairfax wishes to add street lights along East Cemetery Road; and
WHEREAS, part of this area is in Alliant Energy's service area and they require the City
sign a Street Light Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has determined that five Linn County REC street lights
are required, for a cost of$2,365, to be paid before the installation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Fairfax City Council does hereby
approve the placement of five street lights along East Cemetery Road, to be supplied and powered
by Alliant Energy for an amount due of$2,365.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution and Alliant
Energy's Street Light Agreement.

The total charge for this project is $2,365.00. This is a one-time charge and is not
refundable.
Construction will be scheduled after you return to me a signed copy of this letter along
with your check. The other copy of this letter is for your records.
The illumination will provide a safe& secure feeling to the residents and an aesthetically
suitable atmosphere for the area.
