RESOLUTION SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
CONCERNING THE 2017 80TH STREET WATER MAIN EXTENSION PROJECT'S
PROPOSED PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, OPINION OF
PROBABLE COST AND PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax is required to hold a public hearing concerning the 2017
80th Street Water Main Extension Project's proposed plans, specifications, form of contract,
opinion of probable cost and proposed improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax received these documents on May 9, 2017 and have them
available at Fairfax City Hall.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the public hearing concerning the 2017
80th Street Water Main Extension Project's proposed plans, specifications, form of contract,
opinion of probable cost and proposed improvements, shall be held at the city council meeting on
Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at 6:00 PM at the Fairfax City Hall at 300 80th Street Court.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution
and advertise the hearing.

FOR 2017 80TH STREET WATER MAIN EXTENSION
Contract No. 6950-17-03
NOTICE OF HEARING
At 6:00 PM, local time, on the 13th day of June, 2017 at the Fairfax City Hall, 300 80th Street Court Fairfax,
Iowa, a hearing will be conducted by the Fairfax City Council on the proposed plans, specifications, form of
contract, opinion of probable cost and the proposed improvements described thereby for the 2017 80th
Street Water Main Extension project. The Fairfax City Council has previously filed these documents with
the City Clerk of the City of Fairfax, Iowa. The City Engineer's opinion of probable construction cost for the
Work is $94,000.00. The proceedings of the City Council referring to the proposed plans, specifications,
form of contract, and cost opinion are also made part of this notice. At this hearing, any interested person
may file written and/or oral objections to these documents and the proposed improvements.
