A RESOLUTION ORDERING SIDEWALK INSTALLATION
WHEREAS, the City Council of Fairfax has the power to order sidewalk installation
according to Section 136.06 of the City of Fairfax Code of Ordinances 2012; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Fairfax has the power to order sidewalk repair according
to Section 136.05 of the City of Fairfax Code of Ordinances 2012; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to order sidewalk installation or repairs at the
following properties:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Fairfax City Council does hereby
order sidewalk installation or repair at the properties listed above; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Fairfax City Council hereby instructs staff to
send sidewalk installation and repair notices with installation deadlines as stated above; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, any such ordered sidewalk installation or repair not
completed by the stated installation deadline, may be completed by the City of Fairfax, using staff
or contractor, with all expenses billed to the property owner and collectable as property taxes, if
needed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to certify this resolution.
