RESOLUTION SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
CONCERNING THE CITY OF FAIRFAX AQUIRING THE LOT AT 510 CHURCH
STREET AND SELLING THIS LOT FOR DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax is required to hold a public hearing before disposing of
property; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax hopes to develop a plan to acquire and sell the lot at 510
Church Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the public hearing concerning acquiring
and disposing of the property at 510 Church Street, shall be held at the city council meeting on
Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at 6:00 PM at the Fairfax City Hall at 300 80`x' Street Court.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor and City Cleric/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Resolution
and advertise the hearing.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the CITY OF FAIRFAX, IOWA will be
considering the proposed conveyance and transfer via Quit Claim Deed the property locally known
as 510 Church Street, Fairfax, Linn County, Iowa, and legally described as:
Lot Number Six(6)in Block Number Five (5) as said Lot is laid down
and described on the plat of said town of Vanderbilt recorded in the
office of the Recorder of Linn County, Iowa.
The City of Fairfax will consider proposals for use of the above-described property at the public
meeting described below. The City of Fairfax does not currently own the above-described property,
but anticipates it will select one proposal presented at the public meeting described below, acquire the
property from Linn County, Iowa, and subsequently transfer the property to be used in accordance
with the selected proposal.
All proposals for use of the above-described property will be heard at a meeting of the City Council to
be held in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 300 80th Street Court, on the 10th day of October,
2017, at 6:00 P.M., Central Time. The City Council will consider at that time all proposals for use of
the property, as well as comments made in writing or orally relating to the proposals.
This notice is given in furtherance of the purposes of Section 364.7 of the Code of Iowa.
