HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION NO. 2017-91 RESOLUTION NO. 2017-91 RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE 2017 80"' STREET WATER MAIN EXTENSION PROJECT IN THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, LINN COUNTY, IOWA WHEREAS, the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa has contracted with Schrader Excavating and Grading Co. for the 2017 80"' Street Water Main Extension Project within the corporate limits; and WHEREAS, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc., has stated that this project has been completed within substantial conformance to the project plans and specifications and has recommended acceptance of this project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, to accept the 2017 8011 Street Water Main Extension Project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute said resolution. Gross, P.E. — Project Manager RE: 2017 80m Street Water Main Extension — Recommendation to Accept I hereby certify that this project has been completed within substantial conformance to the project plans and specifications, and recommend that the City of Fairfax accept this project. The final payment application for this project pays all retainage, which is being released with this final payment application upon completion of the 30 day hold period. The amount of the final payment is $ 9,810.20. Incentives in the amount of$3,000 (3 Working Days @ $1,000/day) are being paid under the final payment application, and are included in the final payment amount. The final contract amount for this project is $73,559.05, which includes all Change Orders (4 total, including the Balancing Change Order) and incentives. Included with this memo to accept the project is the final payment application, balancing change order, and project lien waivers. Record drawings were not required to be submitted, as Hall and Hall Engineers surveyed and recorded all watermain valves, hydrants, bends, and critical project items.
