A RESOLUTION SETTING FEE FOR FIREWORKS
VENDOR SITE INSPECTION
WHEREAS, the City Council of Fairfax has the power to set fees for fireworks site
inspections; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Fairfax shall attempt to recover costs of employees time
doing said inspections within Fairfax; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to set inspection fees at fifty ($50.00) dollars per
visit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Fairfax City Council does hereby
order fireworks vendor inspection fees to be fifty ($50.00) dollars per visit.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Fairfax City Council hereby instructs staff to
collect fees prior to first visit and bill any addition fees for follow up visits to vendor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, any outstanding fees must be paid in full prior to
fireworks vendor's permit being valid and retail sale being allowed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to certify this resolution.
