RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, AND ESTIMATED COST
FOR PROCUREMENT OF SPLASH PAD EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS,the City of Fairfax is proposing construction of a Splash Pad at the Fairfax
Regional Sports and Park Complex.
WHEREAS,prior to construction taking place, the City of Fairfax will issue a Request
for Proposal to splash pad vendors, outlining the specifications and form of contract, for
procurement of splash pad equipment and conceptual designs.
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of procuring splash pad equipment and conceptual
designs is $160,000.00.
WHEREAS,the proposals shall be received by Thursday, May 9th, 2019, at 11:00 AM
in the office of the City Clerk.
WHEREAS, interested residents or taxpayers having comments for or against the
procurement of splash pad equipment may appear and be heard at the public hearing at the City
council meeting on May 14, 2019, at 6:00 PM at Fairfax City Hall, located at 300 80th Street
Court, PO Box 337, Fairfax, Iowa.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa,that this confirms that the City council order the publication of a notice of public hearing
pertaining to the specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost for procurement of splash
pad equipment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said resolution.
