RESOLUTION SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING WRITTEN AND
ORAL COMMENTS ON A REZONING REQUEST
WHEREAS, property owner Iowa Lot Development, LLC is requesting a zoning
change from 9RS: Single Family Residential to 4RM: Multiple Family Residential District
for Lots 33, 34, 35, and 36 in Heartland Heights First Addition in Fairfax, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, Iowa Code requires a public hearing concerning rezoning of this
property; and
WHEREAS, interested residents or taxpayers having comments for or against the
proposed rezoning may appear and be heard at the public hearing at the city council
meeting on May 14, 2019,at 6:00 PM at Fairfax City Hall at 300 801h Street Court, Fairfax,
Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that this confirms that the city council order the publication of a notice of
public hearing pertaining to this rezoning request on behalf of the City of Fairfax.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa,that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed
to execute said resolution.
