A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF A REAP GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE IDNR
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax wishes to establish a community park in the Heartland
Heights residential subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has negotiated a reduced sale price for two lots with the
developer, Iowa Lots, Inc. and has plans for development of the park amenities; and
WHEREAS, the State of Iowa has a REAP Grant Program through the Iowa Department
of Natural Resources which cities are able to submit an application to, August 15, 2019, being this
year's deadline.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that they support the community park in the Heartland Heights residential subdivision
project and submission of a REAP Grant Application for funds to be used to establish this new
park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby
authorized and directed to execute said resolution.
