A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING APPLICATION TO THE IOWA'S
LIVING ROADWAYS COMMUNITY VISIONING -A
TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS,the City of Fairfax has many transportation issues that require discussion and
planning; and
WHEREAS, Iowa's Living Roadways Community Visioning — A Transportation
Enhancement Program is a program to assist cities with these types of issues and has a September
1, 2019, deadline this year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, that they support the City of Fairfax making application to the Iowa's Living Roadways
Community Visioning—A Transportation Enhancement Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City
of Fairfax, if selected, the City will
• Commit $2,000.00 toward the implementation of a project proposed through the
visioning process
• Establish a steering committee to work on the project and attend required training
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby
authorized and directed to execute said resolution.
