RESOLUTION FORGIVING SOME OF THE SEWER CHARGES
FOR VACANT PROPERTIES
WHEREAS, the Robson Homes has many new construction vacant properties
where they have been watering sod and have not installed a second water meter to measure
outside usage only; and
WHEREAS, it is the City of Fairfax's policy to bill for sewer charges for all water
usage unless the owner has installed a second water meter to measure water only used for
outside purposes; and
WHEREAS, Robson Homes is requesting $3007.14 in sewer charges billed on 08-
31-2019 be forgiven for the properties as shown on the attached report.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, they hereby forgive $3007.14 in sewer charges billed to Robson Homes on
08-31-2019 for the properties as shown on the attached report due to the fact that these
properties were in fact vacant during this usage. The minimum sewer and sewer debt
charges will remain.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Fairfax City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, that the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed
to execute said resolution.
