RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX AND HALL AND HALL ENGINEERS, INC.
WHEREAS, the Fairfax City Council needs to acquire Right-of-Way and Permanent
Easements for realigned future improvements to the intersection of Eagleview Drive, West
Cemetery Road, and Highway 151; and
WHEREAS,Hall and Hall Engineers,Inc. has submitted an Amendment to the previously
approved Professional Services Agreement(Resolution No. 2018-71)to do site surveying and civil
engineering professional services for Right-of-Way and Permanent Easement acquisitions for
realigned future improvements to the intersection of Eagleview Drive, West Cemetery Road, and
Highway 151.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, to enter into this Amendment of the Professional Services Agreement with Hall and Hall
Engineers, Inc. as attached.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute both this Resolution and
the amended Professional Services Agreement.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
Hall & Hall Engineers, Inc. Project No. 6950-18-02
R.O.W. and Permanent Easement Acquisitions for the realigned intersection of West Cemetery
Road, Eagleview Drive, and Highway 151
This Amendment made on the 8th day of October,2019 between the City of Fairfax(hereinafter referred to as"OWNER")
and Hall and Hall Engineers,Inc.(hereinafter referred to as"ENGINEER").
The OWNER and the ENGINEER agree to amend the scope of services as indicated in the original Professional Services
Agreement and previously approved amendments,as follows:
SERVICE AMOUNT
1 Additional work to identify the reason for the elevated stream $1,500.00
levels in the creek.
2 HEC-RAS Stream Flow Analysis for three(3)different $4,000.00
scenarios.
Total $5,500.00
The OWNER and the ENGINEER agree to amend the compensation paid to the ENGINEER for providing the scope of
services as shown in the original agreement,and previously approved amendments,as follows:
Amendment No. 1 =$5,500.00
This Amendment is subject to all the terms and conditions of the original Professional Services Agreement. Upon execution
of this amendment,this document shall become part of the original Professional Services Agreement as if bound therein.
