RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX AND HALL AND HALL ENGINEERS, INC.
WHEREAS, the Fairfax City Council desires to add a splash pad to The Fairfax Area
Sports and Recreation Complex; and
WHEREAS,the State of Iowa requires this project be designed by an engineer and follow
the bidding requirements per Iowa Code; and
WHEREAS, Hall and Hall Engineers, Inc. has submitted an Amendment to their
previously approved Professional Services Agreement (Resolution No. 2018-72) to do site
surveying and civil engineering professional services for the planning, design, bidding and
construction engineering of a splash pad.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Iowa, to enter into this Amendment of the Professional Services Agreement with Hall and Hall
Engineers, Inc. as attached.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, that
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute both this Resolution and
the amendment of the Professional Services Agreement.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
AMENDMENT NO. 1
Hall & Hall Engineers, Inc. Project No. 6950-18-03
Splash Pad
This Amendment made on the 8th day of October,2019 between the City of Fairfax(hereinafter referred to as"OWNER")
and Hall and Hall Engineers,Inc.(hereinafter referred to as"ENGINEER").
The OWNER and the ENGINEER agree to amend the scope of services as indicated in the original Professional Services
Agreement and previously approved amendments,as follows:
SERVICE AMOUNT
1 Prepare Revisions to the POI and to the Project Manual $3,000.00
2 Put the project out for Competitive Bids,Coordination with $3,700.00
Contractors,and Prepare One Bid Addendum if necessary
3 Rapids Reproduction Fees for Bidding $1,400.00
Total $8,100.00
The OWNER and the ENGINEER agree to amend the compensation paid to the ENGINEER for providing the scope of
services as shown in the original agreement,and previously approved amendments,as follows:
Amendment No. 1 =$8,100.00
This Amendment is subject to all the terms and conditions of the original Professional Services Agreement. Upon execution
of this amendment,this document shall become part of the original Professional Services Agreement as if bound therein.
