SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
September 24, 2024
A special meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held September 24, 2024 at the Fairfax
City Hall. Mayor Jo Ann Beer called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. Councilmembers present
were: Tom Nurre, Mike I�aly, Dan Wozniak, Nick Volk, and Marianne Wainwright.
Motioned by Daly, seconded by Wozniak to approve the agenda. Ayes: Nurre, Daly,
Wozniak, Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Motioned by Daly, seconded by Volk to approve payment of the TBT Sports invoice due to
an error in the original invoice. The check issued in error will be voided. Ayes: Nurre, Daly,
Wozniak, Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Discussion was held concerning Big Cedar Industrial Center Preliminary Plat from Iowa
Land & Building, Co. and the proposed Development Agreement. Road, water, and sewer
improvements were discussed.
Mayor Beer reminded everyone the MPO will be here to discuss our Long-Range
Transportation Plan on Friday afternoon.
Motioned by Daly, seconded by Volk to adjourn the meeting. Ayes: Nurre, Daly, Wozniak,
Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Mayor Beer adjourned the meeting at 7:56 PM.
