NOW, TO-WIT, this 5th day of April, A.D., 1937 at the hour of
7:30 P. M. the council bf the town of Fairfax Met in Regular session
with Mayor Behle presiding.
Councilmen present;- C.J.Knickerbocker, C.E.Heaton, Chas J.
Dvorak and Frank J. Moynihan.
Councilman absent;- John Wavra.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
On motion of C.J.Knickerbocker, seconded by C. E. Heaton and
unanimously carried the following bills were approved and ordered paid;
Iowa Elec. Light & Power Co., Street Lights - - - $3.32
McKesson & Robbins, for Sulphuric Acid - - - 2.75
Matt Parrott & Sons Co., Supplies 10.79
Since no meeting was held in February and the concensus of
opinion prevailed that the town of Fairfax should become a member of
the League of Iowa Municipalities a Warrant dated Feb. 8th was mailed
to said League for dues to Aug. 1, 1938 and a warrant was issued at
the same time in payment of the street lights.
On motion of councilman, Moynihan, seconded by councilman Dvorak
and unanimously carried expenditures in the sum of $10.00 to the League
of Iowa Municipalities and $3.32 for Street lights wqs approved.
The council sitting as board of review audited the books of
assessor, James Yanecek.
On motion by Councilman Knickerbocker, seconded by Dvorak and
unanimously carried the assessment of Chas E. Heaton was reduced from
a total of $3,282.00 to ' 2,482.00.
Application by James Yanecek for Class B. Beer Permit at
the Lefebure building was read. On motion of councilman, Knickerbocker,
seconded by councilman, Dvorak and unanimously carried application for
beer permit by James Yanecek, effective as of April 20, 1937, was

approved and the Mayor was authorized to issued said permit to
said James Yanecek when proper bond is filed and upon the payment
of the annual fee of $100.00.
There being no further business it was moved by councilman,
Moynihan, seconded by councilman Heaton and unanimously carried
to adjourn.
