HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/08/1937 Council Minutes 20 Nov. 8, 1937. NOW TO-WIT: this 8th day of November, A. D., 1937 at the hour of 7:30 P. M. the Council of the Town of Fairfax, Iowa met in regular session with Mayor Behie presiding and all councilmen present. The minutes of the meeting of Sept. 8, 1937 were read and approved. Correspondence from the Iowa' Municipal Supply Company was read regarding our fire equipment and various matters regarding the same were discussed. It was moved, seconded and carried that the Clerk be and is hereby authorized and instructed to send a letter to 6has Wicke instructing him to remove the trees from in front of his property, all of which are dead and very dangerous, and to reshingle his house with composition shingles, replace the chimney and remove the old building formerly used as a black- smith shop. Further to inform said Chas Wicke that if these matters are not attended to within 30 days it will be necessary to take other action. (unanimously carried) The clerk reported that warrants had been drawn in payment for *treet light bills; $3:32 for Oct. 1st bill and $3.32 for Nov. lst bill.
