Dec. 14, 1937.
NOW TO-WITH: this 14th day of December, A. D., 1937 at the hour of 7:30 P. M.
the Council of the Town of Fairfax, Iowa met in regular session and in the
absence of Mayor Behle on motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried
C. J. Knickerbocker was made Chairman of the meeting.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
All Councilmen were present.
It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the Clerk write Chas
Wicke, advising him that due to bad weather, some additional time will be
granted to comply with the resolution passed at the previous meeting
about which resolution said Chas Wicke was informed by letter under date
of Nov. 16, 1937.
It was moved, seconded and unanimously caied';that Chas J. Dvorak be
named Chief of the Fairfax Fire .Department.
It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that Chas E. Heaton be
named Assistant Chief of the Fairfax Fire Department.
It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that J. L. Krall be
named Secretary-Treasurer of the Fairfax Fire Department.
The newly named Fire Chief, Chas J. Dvorak, submitted for approval
the following names as members of the Fairfax Fire Department:

5 Listebarger, E. F. 5 Rogers, Wallace K 5 Staliman, Eldred

7 Michalek, Wm. 7 Lefebure, Lloyd J.
It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the names above be
and are hereby approved as members of the Fairfax Fire Department.
It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried to adjourn.
