June 20, 1938.
NOW, TO-WIT, this 20th day of June, A. D., 1938 at the hour of
7:30 P. M. , the Town Council of the Town of Fairfax met and in the absence
of Mayor, •m. Behle, Council Chas J. Dvorak was made chairman of the
meeting.
The minutes of the meeting of April 4, 1938 and the minutes of
the meeting of May 19, 1938 were read and approved.
Application for Beer License by Emma Boland was read, and it was
moved by councilman Frank J. moynihan and seconded by councilman C. J.
Knickerbocker that beer permit be issued to said Emma Boland by the town
clerk upon payment of the license fee of $100.00, and the filing of
proper bond. (Motion unanimously carried)
Application for Cigarette License by Edgar Firkins Was read.
It was moved by councilman John Wavra, seconded by councilan
Frank J. Moynihan that Cigarette License he issued to Edgar Firkins
upon payment of the license fee of $50.00 and the filing of proper
bond. (Motion unanimously carried)
It was moved by councilman C. J. Knickerbocker, seconded by
Councilman Frank J. Moynihan and unanimously carried that the Fire
Siren should not be sounded on Sundays at noon as it is on week days.
All councilman were present at this meeting.
It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried to adjourn.
