Mar. 15, 1939,
The Town Council of the Town of Fairfax, !ova met in special session
this 15th day of March, 1939 with Mayor Behle presiding.
The meeting was called to order at 7 P. M.

Councilmen Absents John Ta7ra.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
it was moved by Councilman C. J. Knickerbocker, seconded by Counc-illwan
C. E. Heaton and uxanimousiy carried to issue an Anticipatory Warrant
in the sum of 2200.00 and the Town Treasuror was authorized to issue
said warrant to the Fairfax State Savings Bank, said warrant to be
dated Harch 20, 1939 and due on duly 4, 1939 with interest at the rate
of four per cent.
moved by Councilman C. E. Heaton, Seconded `�?y Councilman Frank A Hoy-
Whan and unanimously carried that Fire Chief, Chas J. Dvorak be and
is hereby authorized to purchase necessgry equipment so that a line
of hose may be used at the same time from both sides of our present
pump.
The Mayor appointed Councilman Ci A Knickerbochor and Count"Iman
C. E. Heaton to the Streot and Alley Committee with instructions and
authority to look after various culverts, etc.
Moved by Councilman Chas A Dvorak, Seconded by Councilman Frank
J. Moynihan and unanimously carried to levF a tax of $1.00 on each
male on each paired Female Dog and 13.00 on each Female, said tax
to be paid by MA Ist and anylax not paid by May ist 11.00 penalty
shall attach in addit6on to the regular tax.
