r On this 6th day of Nov. , 1939 the town Counci . of
the Town of Fairfax, Iona met in regular session with
Mayor Behle presiding.
The meeting was called to order at 7: 30 P. M.
Councilmen' present were: C . J . knickerbocker,
C. E. Heaton, John Ydavra, Chas J. Dvorak.
Councilmen absent were: Frank J . Moynihan.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read
and approved.

Moved, seconded and unanimously carried to allow
Wm. G. Zamastil and L. R. Crowell each the sum of $2.00
for special police duty Hallow-een evening.
The clerk read a letter from the Auditor of State
addressed to the Honorable Mayor and City Council regarding
the school of instructions for all city and town accounting
officials on Nov. 23, 24 & 25 at Des Moines, Iowa. The
Town Clerk reported he would not bq able to attend the
school and not action was taken.
The matter of the open well at the rear of the
Dvorak stor-p which building is owned by Etta Lefebure
was brought to the attention of the Council and after
general discussion it was moved., seconded and unanimously
carried to take necessary action to have the well properly
covered so as to safeguard public health and the safety
of the Dublic.
There being no further business it was/ moved,
seconded and unanimously carried to adjourn.
