Special meetil.nrS of the Town Council held this 20th
day of May, 1940 .
In the absence of Mayor Behle , by motion made seconded
and carried C . E. filav __ton was made actin; chairman.

Chas J . Dvorak, Frank J. r yni han and C . J. Knickerbocrer.

Compap r met with the council and explained their method
of preparing streets with oil and chipped rock. He quoted
a price of 6 . 72 per gallon on oil a p 2li cd to the street and
estimated it would require 7/ 0th of a gallon per square .
Yard of surface . This to be covered with chipped roc`_
ta'17ich he estimated would cost $4 . 00 per s.gyare yard, applied ,
making the total cost approximately $8 . 70 per square yard.
! The council took the matter under consideration and
appointed J. L. Kral_ and Chas J . Dvorak to obtain measure-
ments of all the streets and report to the council at some
meeting to be held in the nea.rftiat7are .

C. T . Knickerbocker was appointed to consult with the
County Engineer regarding to matter to placing the streets
in condition, cleaning the gutters , etc .
There being no further business he meeting adjourned.
