Regular m etinL of the Town Council of the "Town of Fairfax, Iona
held this 5th day of Jonuarl, 1942.
The meeting was called to carder at 7 : 15 P. M by Mayor Behic and
the following Councilmen were ?resent:
C.J.Knic'4 erbocker, C . J. Dvorak, Frank J . Moynihan and `m. E. Dvorak .
Councilman, C . E. Heaton was absent.

It was Noved by Councilman Chas J . Dvorak, seconded by Councilman
C. J. Knickerbocker that a tax levy be trade of .$1.00 on each male
and spayed female dog and $3. 00 on each i'amall ti dog for the year
1042 and that the Town Cl rk issue to each dog owner a tag when
the tax is paid and that a penalty of $1. 00 be ;added if said
tax is not paid by Yj 1, 199. (UnanimDusi carried)
The following resolution was offered by Counai.ltn,_n C . J . Xnickevbocker
and seconded by Councilman Frank J. Moynihan, to-ui t
Be it resolved that: "��HEREAS, the town of F'airf a;, Ioxaa. is in need of
funds to pay outstanding refused and una_aaid waryanges and to ay cer-
tain fixed expenditures in the near futare, and
WHEREnS, the said toun will have revenge cominZ in during the year of
1912 from taxes levied and from s2ecial licne e fees; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to pay existing outstanding warrants an
obligations that revenue be raised at once, and

WHEREAS, under section 6223 of the Code of Iowa of iY57 , reading
as follows :
AHT'ICTF1il1ON 01 REVENUE. moans may be negotiated or warrants
issued by any munici2al corporation in anticipation of its revenue
for the/ fiscal year in which such loans are negotiated or warrants
issued , and the aggregate amount of sucks loans and warrants shall
not exceed the estimated revenue of such corporation for the fund
r for which the taxes are to be -collected for such f'iscr�.:!

This Council is empowered and authorized to borrow money and pledge
the credit of the said town of Fair°f ay in antic.Lpation of said re-
venues .
NO THERLEORE, be it resolved that the said Town of Fairfax., and
its council borrow the sum of one thousand six hundred ( $1, 600.00)
dollars from the Fairfax State Savings Banks of Fairfax, Toga., for a
period of not to exceed twelve months, at a rate of discount not to
exceed three ( 3) ;percent, and that a warrant issue to the F'aiffca.x

State Savings hank in the sum of ;1, 600 .00 and that F. F.
Li stebarger, Treasurer, execute a warrant in the for attached
to these minutes of' Taeet-ing; attested to by the Clem, J . -
Krall, in the sum of One thousand six hundred (11, 600 . 00)
Dollars as evidence of the said loan? and be it further re--
solved that the Droceeds of said loan be deposited to the credit
of F. F. Li.stebarger, Treasurer of the Toun of Fairfax, loft
with which to pay outstanding warrants and future obligations of
said Town ; and be it further resolffed tl -It this motion and rosolu-
