Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Fairfax,
Iowa held this 7th day of Dec . , 1942.
The meeting was called to order nt 8 P® M. by
Myor Wm. Behle .
Councilmen present : W .Knickerbocker, C. E.
Heaton, Frank Moynihan, Chas J . Dvorak and Km. E. Dvorak.
Absent None.
The minutes of the proceeding meeting were read
and approved as read.
It was moved by Councilman C. J. Knickerbocker,
seconded by 0 . E. Heaton and unanimously carried that
the Mayor appoint some one to act as Warden to take
charge of the blackout on Dec . 14th and future blackouts
and that the Narden, with the approval of the Mayor
perfect some permanent organization to cooperate in
all air raid warnings and blackouts.
It eras moved by Councilman G. J. Knickerbocker,
seconded by Councilman Frank Moynihan and unanimously
carried to pay from and after Jan. 1, 1945 $1 . 00 for
each Sunday or Holiday to the Fireman who remains on
duty on that day. This to be in addition to the regular
$1 . 00 allowed to each fireman residing within the
town limits for attending meetings of the fire devartment .
There being no further business the meeting
adjourned.
