Regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Fairfax, Iowa held this 2nd day of April, 1945.
The meeting was called to order at 8 P. M. by
Mayor, Wm. Behle.
Councilmen. present: C.J .K?nickerbock.er, Frank L.
Barta., Chas J . Dvorak, Wm. E. Dvorak nd Frank Moynihan .

Councilmen absent: None
The Minutes of the preceeding meeting were read
and approved.
Application for Beer Permit by James Yanecek
for renewal of his Class B . permit xhich expires April
21, 1945 was read, and it was moved by Councilman
Chas J. Dvorak, Seconded by Councilman Km. E. Dvorak, and
unanimously to issue the permit to James Yanece_ti on pay-
ment of the $1070 .00 license and .filing of proper bond.

'peter J . Dvorak appeared before the Council to
stake that children con;negated ire the vicinity of the
drug store corner and that they would become more or
less mischevious, throwing rocks, tin cans, etc . and
sometimes breaking windows .

After some discussion it was moved, seconded and
unanimously carried that a letter, over the signature
of the To nn Marshall, be sent to the several parents of
children who are involved asking the cooperation of the
parents in eliminating this bad practice; the letter to

state that same was being seat by authority of the Town
Council and to inform the parents that if the practice
continued Some legal action to remedy the situation
would be necessary.
It ryas wovel by Councilman Frank is Basta, seconded.
by Councilman Wm. F. Dvorak and unanimously carried to
allow James Yaneeek, assessor, 101 for each dog license
collected by him.

A11 disbursements made by orders drawn by the
clerk for the f'iseal year ending Mar.. 51, 1945, being
orders No. 3901 to #451 inclusive were examined and it
qua moved by Councilman Chas J . Dvorak, Seconded by
Councilman Chas J. Knickerbocker, and unanimously
carried that all said disbursements are hereby approved.

It was moved by Councilman C. J. Knickerbocker,
seconded by Councilman Frank L. 3arta and unanimously
carried that the following persons be approved as
Volunteer Members of the Fairfax Faire Department:
Chas J . Dvorak, John F. Murphy, John L. Krall.,
Ernest F. Lis,te,barger, Wm. E. Dvorak, Ernest Vasbinder,
Robert Lockhart, Martin Moynihan, and that William
Michalak and Lloyd J, Lefebure be approved as Rural
Associate Members, and that appointment of the follving
as officers of the Fairfax Fire Department be approved:
Chas J. Dvorak as Chief; Join E. Murphy as
Ass 8 t. Chief and J. L. Krall_ as Secretary-Treasurer.
It was n ved by Council man C. J. knickerbocker,
seconded by Councilman Frank L. Barta and unanimously
carried to allow each member of the Fai3fa.z, Iowa.
Volunteer Fire Department $1. 50 for each fare call. .to
which he responds; said $1. 50 being the minimum pay
for one fire and to cover the first one and one-half
hours spent at the fire; and that he be allowed pay
at . the rate of $1.00 per hour for the time spent at
any fire in excess of one and one-half hours.
There bung no further business to come before
the meeting it was moved, seconded and carried to
adjourn.
