Meeting of the town council of the Town of
Fairfax, Iowa held this 6th day of July, 1945 .
The meeting was called to order at S F. U. by

Mayor, Wm. Behle.
Councilmen.. present: Wm. E. Dvorak, Frank L.
Barta, Chas J. Dvorak and Chas A. Elson..
Councilman absent : C. J. Knickerbocker.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read
and approved.
In accordance with resolution passed, at the meeting
of June 19, 1945 the torn clerk published in the Cedar Rapids
Gazette the Budget Estimate for year beginning April 1, 194E
and submitted proof of said publication. No written objections
to said budget estimate were filed and no taxpayer appeared
to object.
It was moved by Councilman Wm. E. Dvorak, seconded by
Councilman Chas J. Dvorak that the budget estimate as sub-
mitted and published be and is hereby adopted and that the
Town Clerk certify same to the County Auditor. (Unanimously
carried)
It was moved by Councilman. Frank L. Barta., seconded
by Councilman Chas A. Elson and unanimously carried that
the two-wheel, chemical fire fighting apparatus, and all
equipment belonging to same be sold to Wm. E. Dvorak on
has bid of $2.40; said purchaser to remove same from the
alley where it has been reposing for many months.
After informal discussion it was agreed that Mayor
Behle was to see the Haegg Construction Company, or someone
else, regarding the possibility of obtaining; some material
to stake repairs in the holes in the streets and that the
Mayor order said work done if it was possible at any figure
he thought satisfactory.
There being no further business it was moved, seconded
and carried to adjourn.
