March 4, 1946
Regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Fairfax, Iowa held this 4th day of March,
1946.
The meeting was called to order at 7: 30 P. M.
by Mayor, John Lefebure.
Councilmen Present: Wm. E. Dvorak, Frank L.
Barta, C. J. Knickerbocker and Chas A. Elson.
Councilman Absent: Chas J. Dvorak.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were
read and approved.
Clerk, J. L. Krall, Read copy of letter sent
to Ross McCoy regarding care and schooling of his
children which letter was sent in accordance with
instructions and resolution passed at the meeting
of Feb . 4h. No response having been had from
Ross McCoy in regard to s;iid communication and after
some discussion it was moved by Councilman C. J .
Knickerbocker, seconded by Councilman Frank L. Barta
and unanimously carried that Town Clerk, J. L. Krall,
is hereby instructed and authuvized to file complaint
with proper authorities regarding the Ross McCoy family.
It was moved, seconded and carried that we install
a telephone at the Fire Station if and when a telephone
is available.
RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE YEAR BEGINNING
APRIL 1, 1946 AND ENDING MARCH 31, 1947 .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
FAIRFAX, LINN COUNTY, IOWA:
That in accordance with the budget previously published
and Certified, and in accordance with Section 6218 of the Code
and Chapter 187, of the 50th G. A. and paragraph 16 of Section
5663 of the Code, there is hereby appropriated the estimated
revenue to be received in the year beginning April 1, 1946
and ending March 31, 1947 the followin amounts and for the
following purposes :
Consolidated fund $1,860.00
Fire Maintenance 130.00
Fire Equipment 65.00
The above and foregoing resolution was offered by
Councilman Chas A. Elson who moved its adoption. It was

seconded by Councilman Wm. E. Dvorak and unanimously
• carried to adopt the resolution.
There being no further business to come before
the meeting it was moved by councilman C. J. Knickerbocker,
seconded by councilman Wm. E. Dvorak, and carried, to
adjourn.
