Nov. 4, 1946
Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Fairfax,
Iowa held this 4th day of Nov. ,1946.
The meeting was called to order at 7 P. M. by Mayor,
John Lefebure.
Councilmen, present: C.J.Knickerbocker, Chas A. Elson,
Frank L. Barta, and John E. iilurphy.
Councilman absent: Chas J. Dvorak.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read
and approved.
Application for renewal of beer permit by Ralph
H. Emanuel was read, and it was moved by John E.Murphy,
Seconded by Frank L. Barta and unanimously carried that
the beer permit of Ralph H. Emanuel be renewed upon pay-
ment of the fee of $100.00 and the filing of proper bond.
The matter of a curfew ordinance was discussed and
the general opinion prevailed that such an ordinance should
be adopted. The Clerk was instructed to submit such a form
of ordinance at the next meeting the age limit to be up to
18 and the hour 1039 P. M.
The matter of the old Wicke blacksmith shop was dis-
cussed and it was moved by Councilman Barta, seconded by
Councilman C.J.Knickerbocker and unanimously carried that
the Clerk be and is hereby instructed to forward a letter
to the present owner, Earl Heinze, instructing him to remove
the building because of its being a distinct fire hazard.
The -e being no further business to come before the
meeting it was moved, seconded and carried to adjourn.
