HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/02/1946 Council Minutes 148 Dec. 2, 1946 Regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Fairfax, Iowa held this 2nd day of December, 1946. The meeting was called to order at 7 : 30 P. M. by Mayor, John Lefebure. All Councilmen were present. The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. The following bills were read: Geo . C. Thomas, Police work Oct . 30th g 31st $22.00 Linn County, Iowa. for metal culvert pipe 80.00 It was moved my councilman Chas J . Dvorak, Seconded by Councilman Chas A. Eison, and unanimously carried to pay the bills as read. The proposed Ordinance on Curfew for minors was discussed and informally agreed upon with the under- standing that same would be prepared and ready for official action at the next meeting. The Clerk reported that in compliance with instructions given at the Nov. 4th meeting he had nthtified Earl Heinze, requesting that the old twicke building be removed, and of the subsequent talk with Mr. Heinz. It was agreed that C. J. Knickerbocker would see Mr. Heinze with a view of obtaining his cooperation. After some discussion regarding the dog owned by Vince Nekvinda, which dog is considered vicous, it was agreed that the Clerk should discuss the matter with Vince Nekvinda and request that he take proper precautons to prevent the dog from running at large thereby eliminating the possibility that some innocent person be attack by the dog.
